Separation by Design
LISSAI separates governed meaning, inference, verification, human-authored inputs, and oversight into distinct architectural functions.
This separation is designed to keep meaning and authority external to the models that perform inference, while preserving explicit boundaries, traceability, and verification before consequential action. Across those functions, Semantic Continuity helps preserve the relationships among governed meaning, authority, constraints, and provenance as they move through the system.
Bounded Semantics
Human-authored meaning, context, constraints, and authority are structured and governed outside the model. This creates an explicit semantic environment that defines the conditions under which inference is allowed to operate.
The following architectural functions illustrate how LISSAI is designed to preserve governed meaning, authority, and accountability across AI operations.
Pre-Execution Replay Verification
Proposed consequential actions are checked against the governed semantic state and authorization conditions before execution. Replay-based verification helps determine whether an action is admissible, reproducible, and consistent with the constraints that govern it.
Bounded Inference
Foundation-model inference operates within those governed semantic and authority boundaries. Models can reason, classify, recommend, and propose without redefining meaning, altering governed semantic state, or creating their own authority.
Recombinant Ingress
Human-authored authority and semantic inputs are validated before they enter the governed substrate. Recombinant Ingress is designed to resolve dependencies, route valid inputs, and block incomplete or inconsistent authority before it can influence downstream reasoning or action.
Inference Interface
A governed human control surface makes semantic state, authority, constraints, and execution eligibility visible at the point of decision. It is designed to preserve human oversight before consequential actions are committed.
Semantic Continuity
Governed meaning, authority, constraints, and provenance remain explicitly associated as context moves through the system. This helps preserve semantic coherence and accountability across inference, verification, and potential execution.
